Am I too dark?
A couple of weeks ago I was in our Darby St store when a lady walked in looking rather frustrated and lost. I approached her and asked if I could help her find anything.
"I've been to so many chemists and department stores trying to find a foundation to match my skin colour and I can't find anything. I'm getting married next Saturday and can't find anything!" She blurted out - almost in tears. I could hear the frustration in her voice.
I could instantly relate to her as I had experienced the same thing about 2 years ago when I had returned from a holiday in the sun. I went out to buy a new foundation to match my new tanned complexion only to be told by the sales assistant "...sorry about that - we don't have anything dark enough for you". So I knew exactly how this customer was feeling - and I wasn't getting married in a week!
